Vintage Bisque Wedding Doll

I loved it and I used to carry it everywhere. It had retro style clothes made of lace and silk with puffed sleeves, long hair and glass eyes. It had ribbons in her hair and on her dress.

I loved the doll so much, but when we were moving to another city one year, I lost it. I'm not sure how it happened, but I didn't find it anymore when we were unpacking. After that I never found a doll like that anymore, because in those time they were a rarity.

I decided to have a retro wedding after I got engaged. Me and my future husband both liked the antique and vintage style, so we made our best to recreate the feeling and the environment of a vintage wedding. I got a beautiful vintage gown and we hired a vintage car. It was a beautiful day, and everything was perfect.

The next day as I opened one of the presents, I couldn't believe my eyes. It was a vintage bisque wedding doll, and it looked very much like the one I had when I was a little girl. It had a beautiful lace wedding gown in the retro style, blue glass eyes just like mine had and a long beautiful veil.

It was from my best friend, she told me later that some of these dolls can still be found on the internet and in antique shops. Some of them can be quite expensive, but she found a good deal and she bought it for me.
