Vintage GlobesOld vintage globesA few days ago I found and old retro globe at the flea-market. It wasn't in a very good condition but it was so cheap that I decided to buy it. The truth is that I bought it because it gave me a nostalgic feeling, it reminded me of my childhood and the first few years of school. It was nice to look at the globe, because I really felt going back in time every time I did so. I remembered that one of my teachers had a passion for vintage globes. She used to ask us all the time if we had old globes in our family heirloom. One time I even decided to go up to our attic and looked for hours for an old globe. I only found one, and even though it was dusty and dirty, my teacher bought it from me. She kept them in her office and after classes she let some of the students in and they could admire her collection. I liked thinking about those times because it was like being a child again. I knew that after all this time I didn't really change deep inside. At that time I couldn't really understand why did she like collecting vintage globes so much. Most of them looked really old. They were faded and gray, and a lot of them were broken in a few places. But she still loved them all, and as the years passed by she had more and more. I'm not sure what happened to al those vintage globes she had in her office, because when I left to high school I had to mov to a new city. I am pretty sure that they would be very valuable now, and I wonder a lot whether she still has the passion for them or she just sold them to someone. You can find the best deals on Ebay.
