Recently I was invited to the wedding of my friend.
I was looking forward to it because I like her a lot and I also love weddings. The reception party was in a beautiful vintage hall and as I stepped in I knew it was going to be a special night.
The music was great and so were the flowers hanging on the ceiling of the hall. I was a little bit surprised to see the tables decorated with vintage wedding blue mason jars.
Blue mason jars look really great, in fact I always like to collect such jars: they have an old romantic look and I just love their retro blue color. However, I never imagined that they could be used as wedding decorations.
Most of the jars were used as centerpieces, with candles in them and a blue ribbon tied around the neck of the jar. It looked great. The candles matched the jars, they had a soft bluish color. At the kid's table instead of candles the blue vintage mason jars were filled with flowers.
When the party started and the lights faded, everyone lit the candles in the blue mason jars. It had a great effect: the bluish color of the jars gave an interesting shade to the lights and the whole reception hall was covered in a romantic aura. After the wedding each guest got a jar as a gift.
The next time we met I asked my friend where did she get so many blue mason jars, since they are a rarity nowadays and she must have bought dozens of them. She told me that at first she looked in antique shops but there the jars costed a lot, so she decided to look on the flea-market. She was lucky because she found a man who had a lot of old jars, and also a lot of vintage wedding blue mason jars which he sold for a good price. You can find the best deals on Ebay.
